| Gilbert Brule - Many people forgot about Brule, mainly because he did nothing last year and he plays for a bad team located in Columbus. More minutes, bigger role along with an enormous amount of talent. I see a breakout year here. (projected 51 Points) Travis Zajac - Probably will be the 2nd line centerman on the Devils; although the Devils are not a high scoring team, Zajac should get his share. (pojected 51 points) Mike Comrie - 1st line centerman for the Isles and he will be expected to produce. Add on 1st power play unit minutes and a contract year. (projected 63 points) Steve Reinprecht - Someone has to be the 1st line center on this team. Having Doan on your wing won't hurt, either. (projected 60 points) Rostislav Klesla - Forming into a great defender on a growing team. (projected 41 points) Duncan Keith - Aucoin gone will help Duncan's numbers. Hell, just consider every D-man on the Hawks a sleeper this year, why not? (projected 34 points) Tuomo Ruutu - Please stay healthy this year, everyone has forgotten about you. (projected 58 points) Martin Erat - Although Nashville got rid of some key guys, Erat still fly's under the radar, mainly because he was injured for the better half of last season. (projected 65 points) Stephen Weiss - Because Florida is so stacked down the middle, many forget about Weiss. (projected 57 points) Tom Poti - Poti put up respectable numbers last year, but i expect him to be in the top 20 for scoring defenceman this year, and you can probably snag him in the latter rounds. (projected 48 points) Drew Stafford - With Vanek and Briere gone, expect Stafford to breakthrough. (projected 52 points) Joffrey Lupul - Lupul does better around a good offense. He may have something to prove too. (projected 46 points) Peter Schaefer - He will be playing with either Savard or Bergeron. Maybe this will be his chance to really produce. (projected 54 points) Andrei Kostitsyn - I'm hoping this kid will be a 2nd line winger for maybe half this year. Toss up. (projected 45 points) Benoit Pouliot - One of my personal favorite young guns this year. Could be the Wojtek Wolski of last year, but for the Wild. (projected 42 points) Dustin Brown - Put up solid numbers last year, expect better this year on a better team. (projected 48 points) Geoff Sanderson - Being an older, some what goal scoring type player, i'm sure he'll see good minutes on a rather young team. (projected 45 points) Brad Boyes - When he was traded to the Blues at the deadline last season, he was lighting it up. With a better team around him, Boyes can really come into form this season. (projected 61 points) Kyle Wellwood - Keep in mind he had 42 points last year in only 48 games. (projected 62 points) Steve Eminger - Slowly forming, but i think this is the year he breaks through. (projected 34 points) Marc-Edouard Vlasic - Although i didn't have projections for him, i have a hunch for this kid to put up some good numbers. (no projections) Mike York - Mike is capable of 50 points in a semi-small role. He will be playing a big role in Phoenix and he will be playing for a contract, so expect his numbers to go back to where they were a few seasons ago, or better. (projected 52 points) Chuck Kobasew - Will probably be thrown on the 2nd line with Patrice bergeron. Not bad huh? (projected 45 points) - List will be updated until mid September |
